Task

1. In breakout rooms talk about your opinion about the following questions:

1. What’s the definition of bilingualism?

2. Do you consider yourself a bilingual person?

3. What do you think are the benefits of being bilingual in kids?

2. Mind-map

1. In the teams created by the breakout rooms (2-3 people) create a mind map about the topic “Bilingualism in children” with the main ideas of the article. 

2. Also, in the mind map, make sure to write down Bella and Jose's main points mentioned and with the article’s reading as well. You can use Canva or google drawings.

3. Be as creative as you can, and remember to use the resources.

Process

• The group will be divided into teams and asked by the teacher to work on some questions (5 minutes).

• Each team will work on the next task:. 

• Go to the tab of resources and read a short article about bilingualism in children. 

• Watch the TED talk video (you can find the link to it in the resources) on the benefits of being bilingual.

• Take the necessary notes in order to make a Mind-map (15 minutes)

• Once you’ve finished your mind map, get ready for presenting to the group.
